Church Conference on June 26

June 16, 2022

Greetings Foundry!

This year’s Nominating Committee process has resulted in talented, committed, and faithful persons making themselves available for servant leadership on the Foundry Board. Each year, three persons are nominated to a three-year term, filling spaces vacated by the outgoing “class.” We are deeply grateful for the faithful leadership of Todd Mullins and Bill Ellett who have each served one three-year term and of Paula Blair who returned to the Board for one year to fill out the term of Tracy Collins. Each will be completing their terms on the Board as of June 30, 2022.

It is our pleasure to share with you the proposed slate for the incoming class of the Foundry Board:

3 year term:

  • Cathy O’Sullivan
  • Mark Abe
  • Guy Cecil

We are also pleased to share those who have made themselves available and are recommended to serve three-year terms on the Nominating Committee:

3 year term:

  • Kerry Kidwell-Slak
  • Cheryl Gibbs

They will be filling the vacancies left by Tracy Collins and Joanne Garlow whose term also ends on June 30, 2022.

Short biographies and photos of all these Foundry members recommended as part of the Board and Nominating Committee slates can be found on our website. Learn more about our 2022 Foundry Board slate here, and learn more about our 2022 Nominating Committee slate here.

On Sunday, June 26 from 10:15 to 11 a.m., we will hold a Church Conference in which all professing members of Foundry will be invited to vote on the proposed slates and receive updates and information from the Board, including bylaw changes to Article Vand Section 3 approved at Charge Conferences over the past year.

Members can participate in the Church Conference either in person in the Sanctuary or online. To join online beginning at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, visit foundryumc.org/conference. Early voting will also be available online Saturday, June 25 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at foundryumc.org/ballot. We ask that we provide your name solely for verification of membership.

We give thanks for those who serve with us on the current Nominating Committee, along with Tracy and Joanne, and continue to work diligently in order that the Body of Christ called Foundry UMC is strengthened through faithful servant leadership by a diverse group from our Foundry community: Suzanne Anthony, Brian Castro, Preston (PJ) Taylor and Parker Low.

Please pray for those who are making themselves available to join this ministry as part of Nominating Committee and for the members of the proposed slate who are offering a great deal of themselves to God’s service through their willingness to serve on Foundry’s Board.

With gratitude and hope,

Ginger E. Gaines-Cirelli
