Important Update: January 2022 Worship Service Adjustments

Due to the significant increased in Covid-19 infections in our city and beyond, we are modifying some of our practices for gathering in community. Worship services on Jan. 2 and Jan. 9 will be modified to gather online at 11:15 a.m. only. More details can be found here. 
 

You're Invited: Foxall Society Estate Planning Webinar on Jan. 5

In the New Year, many people set healthy resolutions – like putting plans in place. You can learn more about planning for the future by attending the Foxall Society Estate Planning Seminar on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 5:30 p.m.

Register in advance for the webinar here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing more information about joining the webinar. The webinar will allow time for questions.

 

All Things New: A Lenten Devotional Creative Workshop

On Sunday, Jan. 9, you're invited to join our Lenten Devotional Ministry Team for a hybrid (in person and online) workshop to encourage your creativity, explore the devotional theme, and generate topical ideas and first thoughts. Learn about resources that will be available to help you in writing for the devotional. A light lunch will be provided for in-person participants. Register for the Lenten Devotional Workshop here.
 

Guest Preacher on Jan. 16:
Bishop Marcus Matthews

Our Guest Preacher for MLK Weekend and Human Relations Sunday will be Bishop Marcus Matthews. Bishop Matthews will preach in our 11:15 a.m. worship service on Jan. 16, 2022. We will gather both online and in person with increased safety measures. 
 
For those who wish to begin the journey toward official membership at Foundry, Pastor's Coffee provides an opportunity to meet with Pastor Kelly and other members of the staff, learn more about our Church, and move to the next steps in A Disciple's Path. This six-week class goes in-depth on different Spiritual topics and teaches prospective new members more about life and ministry here at Foundry Church. It will be lead by Associate Pastor and Director of Hospitality and Congregational Care, Rev. Dr. Kelly L. Grimes, and will meet both in person and virtually. Register for A Disciple's Path here.

From June 26–July 22, Foundry Youth will once again take place in the annual Appalachia Service Project (ASP). The Appalachia Service Project provides one of the most rewarding structured service opportunities in the nation — bringing thousands of volunteers from around the country to rural Central Appalachia to repair homes for low-income families. Parking passes for the Colonial Parking Garage — located on P Street between 16th and 17th Streets NW — are now available for purchase. The Colonial Parking Garage is open on Sundays only from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Foundry continues to work with Colonial Parking to identify a mutually beneficial and long-term solution that would include Wednesday evenings. You may choose to pick up your parking pass in person at Foundry, or we can mail it to you!
